ACRP Appoints Advarra Executive Sergio Armani to Board of Trustees

The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) has appointed Sergio Armani, Advarra VP of Business Development, to its Board of Trustees. The appointment is effective January 1, 2020.

Armani joins other research community leaders in providing governance leadership for ACRP to carry out the Association’s objectives and purposes. Armani brings over 15 years’ experience working with nonprofit organizations, including leadership roles served with the ACRP Greater Philadelphia chapter. In this new role, he hopes to use his nonprofit experience and his business expertise to help ACRP better nurture research talent in under-served populations.

“The research community has given me so much throughout my career, and I’ve always been taught to give back,” said Armani. “I’m thrilled at the opportunity to help ACRP continue to support and grow the research community.”

The volunteer-based Board of Trustees is elected by ACRP members. Trustees serve a minimum term of two years, with the option to be re-elected for three consecutive terms.

“Our new and returning Board members bring a wealth of talent, knowledge, and expertise to the ACRP Board of Trustees,” said Jim Kremidas, ACRP Executive Director. “We look forward to working with them to broaden our understanding of the evolving clinical research enterprise, and to help our members remain at the forefront of innovation.”

Founded in 1976, ACRP is a non-profit organization that supports clinical research professionals through membership, training and development, and certification.
