API Partner Program

Advarra’s API Partner Program enables third-party vendors to create standard integrations with Advarra technology, currently including the OnCore Enterprise Research System and Clinical Conductor clinical trial management systems (CTMS). Deployed through a tiered approach (Platinum, Gold, and Silver) based on level of integration and implementation support, third-party vendors can engage with Advarra directly. As a result, Advarra technology customers can leverage already established, standard integrations without requiring time-intensive resources and effort.

Data Partner Program

Advarra’s Data Partner Program utilizes data within third-party systems to better inform and enable our customers via our technology solutions. Currently, Data Partners are leveraged within our SiteIQ platform, helping life sciences companies to better identify sites by combining rich historical site performance with appropriate patient populations for your next study or program.

Frequently Asked Questions

Doesn’t Advarra already integrate with other vendors?

Advarra’s technology supports a vast number of integrations to streamline workflows and efficiencies for customers. Namely, connections between Advarra institutional review board (IRB) technology and electronic trial master file (eTMF) systems with Advarra Connect, as well as connections with Epic and Cerner electronic health records (EHRs) with our Clinical Trial Management Systems, OnCore and Clinical Conductor. EHR integrations are based on standards and made available through heavily managed integrations that Advarra leads customers through during implementation. In addition, many custom integrations have been established between CTMS and third-party technology vendors. The API Partner Program formalizes processes and support mechanisms enabling standardized integrations, allowing Advarra to more directly support third party vendors. This expands our abilities to support new connections faster and with less customization required across each vendor or customer.

What API integrated systems will be available next?

Today, our API Program is focused on new capabilities for our OnCore and Clinical Conductor CTMS. We will work to extend the API Program to include additional integrations to Advarra eReg, eSource, eConsent, and sponsor-facing technology like Advarra’s Longboat Platform.

How do you select a partner? On what criteria are they being selected?

All partners are evaluated on a case-by-case basis to ensure the integrity and requirements of each vendor. Vendors joining our partner network must demonstrate value to our customers’ workflows and future use cases.

What information is shared with our partners from our connected systems?

Information exchanged between vendors is dependent on the type and tier of each partner. No data from our technology systems is shared with partner vendors without the customer’s consent, and the customer has full control over authorizing and removing connections to third-party technology.

I am a technology customer with an idea for a partnership. What next?

If you are a technology customer working with another vendor that supports your workflows, introduce the third-party vendor with your dedicated Customer Success Manager.
