Integration Update: Leading Compliance Adherence

The Advarra team is proud to announce that all major integration activities are now complete. SOPs have been harmonized; staff have been trained on updated Advarra policies; administrative processes have been streamlined and unified; and all open legacy studies has been migrated to uniform technology platforms which now manage all new IRB and IBC submissions.

Throughout this integration process, Advarra has stayed committed to being transparent and responsive so that clients had the information they needed to continue working with as little interruption as possible. We have worked closely with clients, staff members, regulatory agencies and other colleagues to standardize services and processes and continue delivering the high-quality research compliance capabilities the research community expects from our organization.

We are incredibly grateful for the support and validation our colleagues have provided throughout the integration. While the integration “heavy lifting” is now behind us, Advarra will continue to collaborate with the research community to improve and expand our services in a thoughtful, meaningful way. We look forward to continuing our legacy as the premier provider of IRB, IBC and research quality and compliance consulting services in North America.

If you have questions regarding the integration effort, please refer to the complete list of integration updates; you can also contact your Study Coordinator or Study Manager, or email us.

Migration to Advarra Center for IRB Intelligence (CIRBI) Platform and IBC Platform Complete

In October, Advarra successfully completed the migration of data from legacy IRB and IBC systems to the Advarra CIRBI Platform and IBC Platform, using proven processes developed through similar migration projects. All IRB and IBC submissions are now managed through the platforms.

Advarra has conducted an internal audit of the migration activities and has confirmed that no data was lost or corrupted due to the migration. Additionally, legacy systems and the Advarra platforms remained accessible and operational throughout the entire migration process with no service outages.

IRB Reviews Conducted by Unified Advarra IRB

As of May 1, all new study submissions for initial review are reviewed by Advarra’s IRB. All new study submissions are made through a single platform, the Advarra CIRBI Platform, and all communications and approvals are managed through that same technology. Additionally, all IRB reviews are conducted under harmonized Advarra policies and procedures. This fully integrated approach provides a seamless, transparent experience to customers and help ensure consistent, quality reviews.

Harmonized SOPs for Advarra Processes

Advarra’s SOPs and policies were fully harmonized and implemented on April 30, 2018. By integrating all of our processes across the organization, Advarra provides clients with the efficiencies of a large-scale operation while maintaining an overriding commitment to high-quality reviews and customer service excellence.
