The SOE drives operational planning by defining what happens at screening, baseline, treatment visits, follow-up, and end-of-study. It informs site workflows, participant burden, source documentation expectations, and data collection build in eCRFs/eCOA. Clear SOE design reduces missed assessments and protocol deviations by making timing requirements explicit. The SOE is also a key input for budgeting, coverage analysis, and vendor planning.
